Special Delivery
A dear friend of mine, the inimitable Paul Deegan, is showing the premiere of his new film, Special Delivery, at the London Apple Store on the evening of Thursday 11 October. The film, some seven months in the making, promises a fifteen-minute slice of high definition Himalayan heaven. I'll be there, and you're invited too.

Damn, I missed it.
The problem with watching films like this is that afterward, after you've been vicariously immersed in another landscape and culture far removed from your own, you become somewhat swept along by the wave of desire to get out there, somewhere, anywhere but home, or at least to a place where making up cup of tea requires a little more effort than simply switching on the kettle. :-)
